A few words about Antal Kovács:
He is one of the most well-known sommeliers who started his career in 1989. While running the gauntlet of tourism he learned all there is to be learned about wine. He was the first sommelier who won the title of grand champion three times (in 1994, 1995 and 1997) becoming the first undisputed champion in Hungary. He worked in one of Hungary’s most famous restaurants, the Gundel for 7 years before being lured away by Péter Zwack.
Presently, backed by a small team, he operates the webshop www.pincearon.hu offering artisan wines.
